Pedagogical guidelines of KUS
KUS regards itself as a world in miniature. Here, students are supposed to learn conduct of adulthood through daily routines in a small community. This learning process takes place through participation and by taking on responsibilities. Not only do the students learn to adhere to those responsibilities but also to gradually answer for their own way of living and learning.
KUS offers young people a space to live and learn. Living, learning and working are connected to each other and the subjects studied are experienced at first-hand as far as possible. KUS builds a bridge between the lives of young people and those of adults in a complex society. Due to its extraordinary context, the project offers young people a once-in-a-lifetime educational opportunity.
